What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.
How Submittio Uses Cookies
Submittio uses only strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They do not track you across websites and do not collect personal data for advertising purposes.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies at this time. If this changes in a future update, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
Cookies We Set
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase (first party) | Stores your authentication session so you remain logged in between page loads. Set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. | Up to 7 days (or until sign-out) | Strictly necessary |
| submittio-preview | Submittio (first party) | Grants access to the full platform during the pre-launch period when the coming-soon page is active. Set when you visit the site with a valid preview bypass link. | 24 hours | Strictly necessary |
Cookies We Do NOT Set
Submittio does not use:
- Google Analytics or any web analytics tracking
- Facebook Pixel or any advertising retargeting
- Hotjar or any session recording tools
- Third-party social media embeds that set cookies
- Vercel Analytics (not enabled at launch)
No Consent Banner Required
Because Submittio uses only strictly necessary cookies, we are not required under the EU ePrivacy Directive or GDPR to show a cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies may be set without user consent as they are essential for the service to function as requested by the user.
If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before those cookies are set.
How to Control Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies using your browser settings. Note that disabling the Supabase authentication cookie will log you out of your account and prevent you from signing in.
